You - messing up? I simply can't imagine that! Part of the beauty of growing older, is realizing what's really important in life. I'm so sorry that your "ageing process" has been accelerated due to your illness, but life is bittersweet, and you sure seem to have grasped the important concepts of your life. - Thank you Sara for reminging us all, about what's really important!

    Well said, Neas.

Sara, this is my favorite post of yours so far. You seem to always have had your priorities in order. That's a teffic accomplishment in these confusing and confounding times.

Hope your and Riley's day is a good one!

Oh Sara this is so true. Thank you for reminding us to stop and savor the moments...we think things will always be like they are right now. And the truth things change. I keep hearing Someone whisper to me : Don't postpone joy...

After digesting this post I am struck by this... I've bounced around various blogs during Thanksgiving to see what kinds of things different people are thankful for... and yet as I read your words I realize no list is necessary for you, I don't have to wonder, because you LIVE your gratitude everyday!

I think God, in his own way, prepared you for your present day. Wow, you have me really thinking now!

    Love and Blessings!

Sara, you are such a talented writer and everytime I visit your blog I feel like we really know each other. That doesnt happen very often for me out here.

I'm giving you a great big cyber hug right now.

"I've messed up things in my life, but this is one area for which I am thankful to have understood it's importance."

Thanks for bringing this out. Some days I feel I'm missing out on so much of my children's lives with not being able to get to the games and concerts. Just going out to eat isn't always possible. But I did have many years of homeschooling, being with my kids 24/7. I have much to be grateful about -- savoring the memories!

    Love you, Gitz!

I didn't have a camera either, when I stumbled through a "forest" in my nephew's neighborhood - following a 3-year-old around as he fought off tarmonsters and pirates with a stick/sword. His mom would've killed me for letting him fall down and nearly stab his arm, but I wouldn't have traded that "big boy" moment for anything. No camera. But the moment? it was savored...
